Summer is all about relaxing in the garden and treating yourself to those all-important afternoon snoozes in the sun. A comfortable daybed offers the perfect set-up for this and here at Inside Out Living, we have two different types of daybed available to our customers: the Bramblecrest Monterey Daybed with Canopy and the Bramblecrest Monterey Large Dining Daybed. We’ll provide plenty more details on these in just a second!

We think a Bramblecrest Monterey Daybed is a must-have staple for summer, and here are just a few of the reasons why:

With plenty of space to lounge around and spread out, a Bramblecrest Monterey Daybed is absolutely perfect for sitting or snoozing in luxurious comfort. A daybed sofa provides enough room for you to layout completely which is a luxury you don’t get with a garden chair or bench- This is just one of the reasons they are a much comfier option for napping in the garden.

Both our daybeds are furnished with beautifully plump cushions, which as an added bonus are made from nearly 100% recycled plastic bottles. You can arrange your daybed to make it your own, adding cushions and throws to create a luxury outdoor haven.

A Bramblecrest Monterey daybed can accommodate up to 6 people providing a laid back, communal space for relaxed catch ups with loved ones. Alternatively, you can use the daybed as a cosy, quiet space for some comfy alone time in the sunshine.

Even better, the Bramblecrest Monterey Dining Daybed set can be used for both alfresco dining and relaxed lounging. Innovative in design, this clever piece of furniture can be transformed from a comfy seated dining area with a table at the centre to a round daybed- simply adjust the table and place the perfectly fitted cushion on top to create the perfect snoring spot. When used for dining, the ceramic table itself offers plenty of space for drinks and nibbles and there is plenty of room for up to 8 people to sit and enjoy.

Stylish Aesthetic

A Bramblecrest Monterey Daybed is not only functional, it also looks great. Both our Bramblecrest daybeds are finished in a sleek dove grey and benefit from stylish wicker rattan panelling. The contemporary round shape of the daybed adds a stunning focal point to the garden area and looks great on patios, decking and lawns. Adding cushions of your choice allows you to personalize the style and make this wonderful piece of furniture as bright and bold or understated as you like.

Low Maintenance

What’s great about the synthetic rattan weave used to make our daybeds is its durability. Although fabulously stylish, the smooth weave is water-repellent and has UV stabilising qualities meaning it will not degrade in the sunshine. The lightweight aluminium frame is resistant to rusting and season-proof cushions repel light showers and flash rainfall. During the winter months, we recommend storing the cushions inside to protect their longevity and you can also cover your daybed with a protective cover to ensure it does not get damaged by the harsher elements.

Sun Protection

One of the best features of the Bramblecrest Monterey Round Daybed is the canopy. Finished in matching dove grey, the canopy is UV50+ repellent meaning it provides that all-important shade when the weather is particularly hot. The canopy folds inwards via three settings allowing you to welcome as much or as little sunshine as you would like, and the canopy can also be completely detached for when you want to relax in full sun.

Extended Living Space

Having a Bramblecrest Monterey Daybed allows you to create an extra living space outdoors, which is particularly useful when the sun’s shining and you’d much rather be out in the garden than stuck in the house. A daybed sofa is equally as comfortable as a settee, providing you with the same level of comfort but with the pleasant surroundings of the garden. It’s easy to make your garden space feel homely by adding outdoor heating like a chiminea or firepit and adding decorative items such as lanterns.
