When spring comes around it’s only natural that we start to gravitate back out to the garden again. Warmer weather and brighter, longer days provide the perfect conditions for spending the much needed time in the garden that we’ve missed so much all winter. In order to help you get in the spirit of the season, we’ve put together our favourite spring garden ideas for creating the perfect outdoor space for enjoying the brighter weather.

From small fixes to larger upgrades, these are our top 5 spring garden ideas for 2022:

Upgrade Your Summer House

Summer houses are the perfect addition to a springtime garden. Not only do they look great, they also provide comfortable shelter from the rain, meaning you can still enjoy being outdoors without getting caught out in the sporadic rain showers that are so typical of spring. If your summer house is looking a little tired and worn out, why not give it a makeover? Painting your summer house in a bright pastel colour such as baby blue or pastel pink is a lovely way to introduce the colours of the season into your outdoor space.

Create A Cosy Fire Pit Area

One of the reasons we love spring so much is that it’s a chance to say goodbye to winter and enjoy some sunshine. That being said,  as spring is a transitional season, you can’t rely on the weather being as warm as it is in the summer. That’s why one of our favourite spring garden ideas is creating a fire pit area, so that you have a cosy space for sitting outdoors. A fire pit table is perfect for creating a warm space, whilst providing the ideal set up for al fresco dining. For smaller patio areas, standalone fire pits work just as effectively for these spring garden ideas.

Encourage Wildlife Into Your Garden

Another one of our favourite spring garden ideas is welcoming wildlife into your outdoor space. Birdsong is at its peak in springtime and there are plenty of other wildlife species buzzing around during this season. There are many different ways to invite wildlife into your garden. Growing plenty of wild spring flowers is really important for encouraging wildlife, and you can also put up bird feeders or create a pond area, if your garden offers the space for this.

Introduce The Colours Of Spring

When you think of spring, one of the first things that comes to mind is the beautiful colours. Pastel blues, pinks and yellows are all iconic of the season, and so one of our favourite spring garden ideas is to fill your outdoor space with all these colours. You can do this by planting some gorgeous spring flowers in these tones, such as daffodils, crocus’ and tulips. You can also add colour through your garden furniture and accessories. Our Bramblecrest Square Scatter Cushion and Bramblecrest  Harlequin Scatter Cushion, both in yellow, are perfect for brightening up the space.

Create A Floral Seating Area

Another one of our top spring garden ideas is creating a pretty seating area on your lawn or patio. This will ensure you can make the most of your outdoor space. For this you’ll need some beautiful garden furniture and plenty of gorgeous greenery and flowers to brighten the space.
