We’re always excited to see what a new year of garden furniture trends holds, and with 2022 just around the corner, we figured now is the perfect time to take a sneak peak! You can expect to see a real mix of garden furniture trends in 2022, meaning there’ll be plenty of styles for you to get inspired by. These are just a few of the most exciting garden furniture trends to keep any eye out for:

Bringing The Inside Out

2021 Bramblecrest Double Griddle For Firepit tables with a bottle of wine next to itIn our previous article looking at 2022 interior design trends, we mentioned that we’ll see a big emphasis on functional outdoor living spaces through the creation of ‘outdoor rooms’. During the pandemic, the priority that we gave to our outdoor space changed drastically, and this is materialising in the interior design and garden furniture trends that we’re starting to see emerge. There’ll be a big emphasis on ‘indoor-outdoor furniture’ such as rattan dining sets, and a focus on the creation of al fresco dining areas through the likes of fire pit tables and pizza ovens. We’ll also see soft furnishings used to make outdoor areas more cosy and inviting.

Recycling & Sustainability

Another exciting garden furniture trend that we’re likely to see in 2022 is an increased use and celebration of recycled materials in our garden furniture. This garden furniture trend comes with increasing concerns about climate change, as we’re looking for more and more ways that we can reduce our impact on the environment. Recycled and natural materials such as wood, bast and linen will be more prominent in garden furniture, with an emphasis on incorporating more sustainable materials into our garden spaces. We’re also likely to see upcycling becoming even more popular. This is a great way to make the most of old furniture without it going to waste.

Natural Tones

The likes of sage, cream, cashmere and beige will take the lead for garden furniture and accessories. Muted tones like this are easy to incorporate alongside a versatile range of decor schemes, making this an easy garden furniture trend to introduce into your own outdoor space. Many of our garden furniture pieces incorporate neutral colour palettes to suit all styles, including sandstone, nutmeg, beech and cloud. One of our favourite neutral pieces is The Hartman Heritage Round Garden Dining Set in Beech, which is perfectly suited for al fresco dining.

Outdoor Daybeds

These will be particularly prominent during the summer for providing a comfortable setup for soaking up the sun. Perfect for lazy days in the sun, our range of daybeds are equally as comfortable as they are stylish. The Bramblecrest Monterey Large Dining Daybed Set With Round Adjustable Table functions as a comfortable and spacious daybed that can be opened out to create a relaxed dining set up. For a more compact daybed, The Kettler Elba Garden Daybed features a contemporary cube design with a lightweight canopy that enhances privacy whilst providing sun protection. Equally as compact, The Bramblecrest Monterey Daybed features deep, season-proof cushions for ultimate comfort, and benefits from a smart rattan weave.

Minimalism

Minimalism is going to be the keyword when it comes to garden design, with elegant and modern pieces starring the show. As we’ve mentioned, neutral tones will be a big garden furniture trend, however to complement this we’re likely to see plenty of minimalist garden furniture designs. The Hartman Apollo Square Casual Dining Set is minimalism at its finest, featuring sleek aluminium frames and Weatheready® cushions in carbon/pewter. This is the perfect furniture set for complementing the minimalist garden furniture trends that we’re so excited to see in 2022.
